Authorities said these measures were aimed at improving transparency and ensuring that financial assistance reached genuinely deserving families.
Over 2.25 Million Beneficiaries Removed from Programme
The parliamentary response also disclosed that 2,259,404 ineligible individuals and beneficiaries were removed from the Benazir Kafaalat Programme between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.
The removals were part of efforts to identify ineligible recipients and strengthen the programme’s targeting and accountability mechanisms.
The findings highlight the government’s efforts to prevent the misuse of public funds and ensure that social protection payments are directed towards eligible, low-income households.
