Mahmood Khan Achakzai Will Remain Opposition Leader, Says PTI Quetta Division President

QUETTA:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Quetta Division President Zain-ul-Abideen has said that Mahmood Khan Achakzai, head of the Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Ayeen Pakistan (TTAP), is the opposition leader nominated by PTI founder and former chairman Imran Khan.
He termed reports circulating in print, electronic and social media regarding the opposition leadership as nothing more than negative propaganda.
Zain-ul-Abideen said Mahmood Khan Achakzai would continue to serve as the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly. He added that the opposition’s future strategy would be announced following the convening of an All-Parties Conference (APC) of opposition parties.
Describing Achakzai as a senior and respected politician, the PTI leader said the use of derogatory language against him and the conduct of what he called a media trial were unacceptable and intolerable.
He stressed that political differences should not be used as a pretext to target senior political figures through negative campaigns.
