Directive to Inspect Buildings of Educational Institutions and Health Centres Across the Province; District Administration Should Submit Report Immediately: CM Sarfraz Bugti

QUETTA (Daily Qudrat Quetta) — Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has directed the administrations of all districts of the province and officials of the Education and Health Departments to review the buildings of all educational institutions and health centres in the province and submit a report. He said that the matter of madrasas in the province is very sensitive, and madrasas will be inspected in consultation with the Leader of the Opposition.

He said this while expressing his views on a point of order in the session of the Balochistan Assembly. Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said: “I condemn the terrorist incident in which terrorists attacked a house in the Dasht Goran area of Kech.” The Chief Minister said that now the people of the province are realising that Balochs are being pushed into a futile war. Where is it in our traditions to martyr travellers and unarmed people?

The Chief Minister directed the district administrations of all districts of the province and officials of the Education and Health Departments to review and inspect the buildings of educational institutions and health centres and submit a report. On this occasion, Member of Provincial Assembly Abdul Rehman Khetran said that a case should be registered against the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the Peshawar school roof collapse incident; one party remained in power there for many years — why did they not conduct a review of the schools?
