Decision Made to Continue Intelligence-Based Operations Against Terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Peshawar (Qudrat Daily) — Important decisions have been made to activate the administrative and military structure in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, under which a commitment has been expressed to further intensify operations against terrorism and focus on public welfare affairs.

According to details, these important decisions were taken at a high-level meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee held under the chairmanship of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Peshawar Corps Commander, and other senior civil and military officials participated in the meeting, where the overall security and administrative situation of the province was reviewed in detail.

During the meeting, participants agreed that the series of intelligence-based operations would continue uninterrupted for the complete elimination of terrorism from the province. The Apex Committee meeting also granted important approval regarding further improving the capabilities of security institutions. It was decided to immediately provide the police and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) with the latest equipment, weapons, and all necessary resources to enhance their professional capacity.

Additionally, the meeting decided not to remain limited to security measures alone and emphasized that full attention would also be given to the basic problems faced by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, such as education, health, and improvement in the standard of living. The committee decided that the provision of basic facilities in the province’s backward and terrorism-affected areas would be ensured in every case so that the goals of sustainable peace and development could be achieved.
