Peshawar (Qudrat Daily) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Member of National Assembly Junaid Akbar Khan has said that MPA Abdul Salam Afridi was also abducted in the violent incident that occurred at the hostel of Khyber Teaching Hospital, and three individuals, including Dr. Zareen, were injured by gunfire during the operation carried out by police and unidentified persons.

In a statement on the social media platform X, Junaid Akbar strongly condemned the incident and stated that Dr. Nabi Jan Afridi, President of the Insaf Doctors Forum Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Provincial Secretary General Dr. Sardar Muhammad Saad, along with MPA Abdul Salam Afridi, were targeted, and they remain missing or abducted to date. He said all these leaders and doctors were preparing to provide medical services and assistance to participants of PTI’s anticipated long march when the operation on the hostel was carried out.

Expressing grave concern over the situation, Junaid Akbar raised a stern question: “Where are they taking the province?” He also issued a warning, asking who would be held responsible if the public and workers resisted this state oppression and stood up for their protection.
