Three Pakistani Crew Members Freed from Somali Pirates Reach Karachi

KARACHI:Three Pakistani crew members who survived a Somali pirate attack and were subsequently released from captivity have returned to Karachi aboard an Ethiopian Airlines flight.

Sindh Governor Nihal Hashmi and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab received the freed crew members at Karachi Airport.

The returning crew members were identified as **Second Engineer Hussain Yousaf, Imran Ali and Muhammad Yasin**. Their families gave emotional welcomes to their loved ones after their return home.

Speaking after their arrival, the crew members described their days in captivity as extremely difficult and said they were grateful to Allah for their safe release.

Sindh Governor Nihal Hashmi said the government would soon implement the relief package announced for the families of the **three crew members who were killed** in the piracy incident, as well as for the injured and the **seven surviving crew members**.

He said the government was committed to providing the announced assistance to those affected by the incident.

Of the three Pakistani crew members who returned to the country, **two belong to Karachi while one is from Swat**.
