SHO, Gunman Martyred in Police Attack in Karak

KARAK:Station House Officer (SHO) Daud Khan of Banda Daud Shah Police Station and his gunman, Farhad, were martyred when unidentified armed men opened fire on a police patrol in Karak.

According to Karak District Police Officer (DPO) Imran Khan, police personnel from Banda Daud Shah Police Station were on routine patrol when armed attackers opened fire on them near New Karpa, close to the Kohat-Karak boundary.

The attack resulted in the deaths of SHO Daud Khan and his gunman Farhad. A passerby was also injured in the firing.

Following the incident, additional police personnel reached the area and cordoned it off. Police launched a search operation to trace and arrest the attackers.

Further investigation into the attack is underway.
