Women Must Come Forward in Every Field for Balochistan’s Sustainable Development, Says Mah Jabeen Khalid Jamali
Quetta (Qudrat): Provincial leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Mah Jabeen Khalid Jamali has said that women have always played an important role in the progress and prosperity of society. For the sustainable development of Balochistan, women must come forward in every field, including education, health, the economy, politics and the social sector. Development goals cannot be fully achieved without the full participation of women.
In a statement, Mah Jabeen Khalid Jamali said that all must unite and play their role for the progress and prosperity of the country and the province. The present government of Balochistan is taking steps in various sectors for development, public welfare, education, health and the improvement of basic facilities, and positive results are emerging. Along with development projects, the provincial government is also paying attention to women’s welfare, education, skills, economic independence and protection.
She said empowering women holds basic importance in the politics of the Pakistan Peoples Party. The party’s 2024 manifesto expressed a commitment to women’s economic independence, social protection, a special loan programme, technical and vocational training, linking women entrepreneurs to the market, and increasing women’s representation in different walks of life. The Pakistan Peoples Party has always given women and jiyala workers respect, political standing and opportunities to advance. The political journey of martyred Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto is a prominent example of leadership and public service for Pakistani women. The party has also taken several measures and carried out legislation for women’s rights, employment, protection, and political and social inclusion.
She further said that work is under way on the government side in Balochistan on skills, business support, legal protection, education, health and economic independence for the advancement of women. The present policy of the provincial government’s institutions for women’s development is also focused on providing women maximum opportunities in decision-making, employment and economic activity. The development measures of the present provincial government are commendable, and if the women of Balochistan participate fully in these measures and put their abilities to use, the results can emerge on a better and wider scale.
Mah Jabeen Khalid Jamali said the women of Balochistan are capable and courageous, and they only need opportunities and a suitable platform. If women make their role more effective in education, business, employment, politics and social service, the pace of Balochistan’s development can be further accelerated.
She said the Pakistan Peoples Party would continue its role in the journey of Balochistan’s development, the prosperity of the people and the empowerment of women. The development of the province is not the responsibility of any one individual or class but the shared responsibility of all citizens, and women are important partners in this journey.
