Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party to Stand Side by Side With PTI in September 27 Protest, Calls on Workers Nationwide to Make It a Success

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — In a press release issued by the central secretariat of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), strong condemnation was expressed regarding the September 27 protest, the continued erosion of political, democratic, and constitutional freedoms in the country, the persistent undermining of democratic political principles, and the continued imprisonment of PTI leader Imran Khan — whose party won the February 8, 2024 elections with a clear majority — along with the arrest and mistreatment of his sisters, PTI MNAs, MPAs, senators, other elected representatives, and hundreds of workers amid political and democratic protests.
The statement said that on September 27, 2026, the party will stand with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the protest, and the party directs its workers across the country to join hands with PTI to make the protest successful. The statement said that all state institutions have been paralyzed at the hands of the unelected government imposed on the country, and that political instability, unrest, severe insecurity, and terrorism continue. Inflation and unemployment are at their peak, and the dignity of the Constitution, democracy, and Parliament has been destroyed in the country. The independence of the judiciary and the media has been eliminated. In this severe crisis situation, it is the duty of PTI and all political and democratic parties to play their political and democratic role, sit together, and end the country’s crises. In this regard, the role of the Movement for the Protection of the Constitution of Pakistan will be of importance, and they too must bring political and democratic parties together and include them in the protest.
At the end of the statement, a demand was made that Imran Khan, his sisters, Ali Wazir, Mahrang Baloch, and all other political workers be released immediately. The unelected, incompetent, and failed imposed government should be immediately removed, and fresh, free, and transparent elections should be announced through a neutral and independent Election Commission. The party hopes that in the country’s crisis situation, political and democratic parties will play their democratic role, sit together, and find a political, democratic, and constitutional solution to the problems.
