Alleged Crackdown on PTI Leaders Begins Ahead of Long March

MNA Ahsan Jameel Khan Arrested from Outside Parliament; Reports of MNA Dawar Khan Kundi, MNA Mian Ghous, Sanaullah Khan Masti Khel, and Senator Saifullah Niazi Also Being Detained

Islamabad (Daily Quudrat) – Ahead of the proposed protest long march on September 27, the crackdown against the central leadership, Members of the National Assembly, and Senators of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has intensified in the federal capital and various cities of Punjab, where several leaders have been detained one after another from outside the Parliament Lodges and the National Assembly and shifted to unknown locations.

According to party spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram and reports, while carrying out an operation in Islamabad, Member of the National Assembly from Mianwali Ahsan Jameel Khan was arrested from right in front of the National Assembly building. In addition, reports indicate that MNA Mian Ghous and MNA Sanaullah Khan Masti Khel have also been detained.


It has further been learned that MNA Dawar Khan Kundi has also been taken into custody. In the same series of the crackdown, Senator Saifullah Niazi was detained by police and security agencies from inside the Parliament Lodges and shifted to an unknown location. Moreover, it is being reported that Hamood bin Sami, son of PTI leader Samiullah Chaudhry from Bahawalpur, has been arrested.
