“Those Beating Drums of Defense Pacts Can’t Hear the Cries of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa?” — Aimal Wali Khan

Peshawar (Qudrat Daily): Awami National Party (ANP) Central President Senator Aimal Wali Khan has strongly condemned the explosion at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Lines Mosque in Kohat and expressed solidarity with the affected families. In his statement, Aimal Wali Khan said that the Kohat Police Lines Mosque blast is highly condemnable and is a glaring proof of state failure. The mosque is the house of Allah, and Islam is a religion of peace and security; targeting worshippers at such a place is deeply regrettable.
He stated that those who shed the blood of innocent people in places of worship are enemies of Islam and humanity. He said that if the state cannot ensure the protection of its citizens, then from whom should the people expect the safety of their lives and property?

Aimal Wali Khan said that from Waziristan to Bajaur, Khyber, and Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is continuously in the grip of unrest.
He raised the question that those who broker ceasefires at the international level are silent over the ongoing war on Pashtun soil. He said that those beating the drums of defense pacts should also be able to hear the cries of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Aimal Wali Khan alleged that state institutions have failed to protect citizens, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cannot be left at the mercy of further experiments and political spectacles.
