Every Pakistani Citizen Is Deeply Grieved and Distressed: Prime Minister Condemns Drone Attack on Makkah Mukarramah
ISLAMABAD (Qudrat Daily) – The Government of Pakistan has strongly condemned, in the strongest possible terms, the recent abominable attempt of a drone attack on the holy site of Makkah Mukarramah and has expressed complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia. In a statement issued by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, it was said that every Pakistani citizen is deeply grieved, sorrowful, and distressed over this attempt to target the holiest land of Makkah Mukarramah. He said that the pain and anger found in the hearts of the Pakistani nation over this impure and unforgivable act cannot be expressed in words.
He, while taking emergency action, praised in strong terms the high professional capabilities, courage, and alertness of the Saudi armed forces for foiling the attack, and said that the courage and speed with which the Royal Saudi Armed Forces stopped this action and defended the holy site is a matter of pride and highly commendable. He appealed to all relevant parties to exercise extreme restraint and to immediately step back to prevent the ongoing tension in the region from escalating further, because this region has already suffered heavy losses due to long-standing conflicts and wars.
The Prime Minister strongly emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy are the only and sustainable way to establish lasting peace. Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with its brotherly country Saudi Arabia at every moment for the defense of its security, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Furthermore, the protection and guardianship of the Haramain Sharifain is not merely a political or diplomatic priority but a fundamental part of every Pakistani’s faith and a sacred duty that is extremely close to the heart of every citizen.
