PIA Resumes Direct London Flights After Six Years, Expands Weekly Operations

Islamabad: Pakistan’s national carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the resumption of direct flights to London after a six-year hiatus, bringing relief to passengers and the Pakistani community in the United Kingdom.

According to reports, PIA will restart its operations from Islamabad to London on March 29, followed by flights from Lahore to London beginning March 30.

A PIA spokesperson stated that the airline will initially operate four weekly flights to London—three from Islamabad and one from Lahore. With this addition, the total number of weekly PIA flights to the UK will increase to seven, providing passengers with more convenient and direct travel options.

The London route is considered one of the airline’s oldest and most significant international routes, with a history spanning over 70 years. The restoration of these flights after a prolonged suspension is expected to enhance PIA’s reputation and contribute positively to the national economy.

The spokesperson added that PIA remains committed to offering international-standard travel services and improving passenger experience on its global network.
