Lawyer’s Body Found at Rawalpindi Judicial Complex; Murder Case Registered, Poisoning Suspected

RAWALPINDI: The body of lawyer Sanaullah Satti Advocate was found inside a vehicle parked at the New Judicial Complex Lawyers Club in Rawalpindi, prompting police to register a murder case and launch an investigation.

According to police, the Civil Lines Police Station registered the case under the murder section on the complaint of the deceased’s brother, Barrister Sajjad Ahmed Satti.

The complainant told police that he was informed that his brother’s body had been found in the vehicle he used, parked in the parking area in front of the New Judicial Complex Lawyers Club. He reached the scene along with other lawyers and found Sanaullah Satti lying on the driver’s seat.

According to Barrister Sajjad Ahmed, white foam and blood were coming from the deceased’s mouth. He also said there appeared to be injury marks on various parts of his brother’s body, including both elbows and both shoulders.

The family has expressed suspicion that the lawyer may have been killed after being administered a poisonous substance. However, the exact cause of death will be determined through forensic and medical investigation.

Police called a forensic team to the scene and collected evidence. Two mobile phones belonging to the deceased were also taken into custody.

Authorities have begun obtaining CCTV footage from cameras installed at District Courts Rawalpindi, while call detail records (CDRs) and other evidence are also being examined.

Police said the deceased was associated with the legal profession and lived with his family in Gulzar-e-Quaid. He leaves behind a daughter who is around one year old.

Police also said that a man identified as Hamad, who was reportedly a client of the deceased and also worked with him as a clerk, was with him.

Investigators said the CCTV footage, CDRs and other evidence would help determine the circumstances surrounding the death and identify the suspects. Further legal action will be taken after the evidence is reviewed.

Police have registered the murder case and initiated a detailed investigation.
