PPP Leadership Responds to Aslam Bhootani’s Allegations, Rejects Negative Politics
Quetta:Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and provincial advisor for Industry and Trade, Mir Ali Hassan Zehri, responded to recent statements made by Aslam Bhootani, rejecting his allegations and defending the party’s approach to governance. According to Zehri, people are now more aware, and it is the natural course of action that individuals are leaving Bhootani’s camp due to his negative politics and the disillusionment with his leadership.
In a strong statement, Zehri emphasized that Bhootani had misled and manipulated the public for personal gain, using coercion to align people with his political agenda. “Now, Bhootani is facing the consequences of his actions, as the people have rejected his leadership. They are turning towards the PPP because of our people-friendly policies and commitment to public welfare,” Zehri said.
He further criticized Bhootani’s attempt to discredit PPP’s leadership, particularly President Asif Ali Zardari, accusing him of engaging in ‘behind-the-scenes’ political maneuvers. Zehri dismissed these allegations as baseless and a sign of mental regression, calling them a desperate attempt to malign the reputation of Zardari, whose style of politics and policy of reconciliation is respected internationally.
“We firmly stand by President Asif Ali Zardari’s vision, and those joining us are doing so because they see the positive impact of our initiatives and our genuine love for the people,” Zehri added. He also suggested that Bhootani should spend the rest of his life reflecting on the injustices he had inflicted on the people and seek forgiveness from both the public and Allah.
Regarding the development of the region, Zehri praised the progress in Hub, stating that the town has now embarked on a journey of development and prosperity after years of neglect. “Under our leadership, we are transforming Hub into a model city, and the pace of development is unstoppable. The people of Hub have rejected the corrupt elements responsible for the dark period of the past forty years,” he said. He urged the public not to fall for Bhootani’s hollow promises and false claims of progress, citing that Bhootani’s limited development in the form of a few buildings and a helipad hardly constitutes real progress for the people.
Zehri further stated that the PPP is committed to continuing this path of development, with a focus on improving the lives of the people of Hub. “The political game of Bhootani and others like him is over. The people of Hub are with us, and we will build a prosperous and ideal district for them,” he concluded.
In a final appeal to the people, Zehri urged them not to fall victim to the “cheap tactics” of Bhootani and his allies, reminding them that the people who failed to deliver in the past four decades cannot be trusted with promises for the future. “Our commitment to the welfare of the people is unwavering, and we will continue to work towards a better future for Hub and all of Balochistan,” he added.
