Every Balochistan Daughter Should Have Skills, Education and Jobs, Not Explosives: Sarfraz Bugti

QUETTA:Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has welcomed the completion of training for **600 women** under the Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme, calling it an important step toward women’s economic empowerment in the province.

In a message posted on social media platform X, the chief minister said the provincial government was taking practical measures to help women become financially independent by providing them with opportunities in **education, skills development, employment and entrepreneurship**.

He said financial assistance provided to **100 women who have started their businesses** under the programme was a practical demonstration of the government’s commitment to economically empowering women.

Bugti said the government wanted talented women in Balochistan not merely to acquire skills but also to receive the resources and opportunities necessary to establish their own businesses and lead dignified economic lives.

“We want every daughter of Balochistan to have skills, knowledge and employment in her hands, not explosives,” the chief minister said.

He contrasted the government’s efforts to provide women with education, development, economic independence and prosperity with what he described as the actions of terrorist elements who were pushing Baloch girls toward violence by turning them into suicide bombers.

Bugti said terrorist elements sought to associate the future of young women with destruction and violence, while the Balochistan government was working to connect their future with **education, skills, employment and prosperity**.

He said it was a collective responsibility to provide the daughters of Balochistan with a path toward education and development rather than extremism and violence.

The chief minister said the people of Balochistan had to decide whether they wanted to see the future of their daughters in education, development and prosperity or in terrorism and destruction, adding that the government’s choice was clear.

“We want a future for our daughters where they have full opportunities to progress, utilize their abilities and contribute to the economic well-being of their families,” Bugti said.

He emphasized that women’s economic empowerment was not merely a matter of women’s development but also formed the foundation of **strong families, a stable society and sustainable economic growth**.

Bugti said the provincial government would further expand programmes focused on women’s training, financial assistance and business opportunities.

He added that women in Balochistan were talented and primarily needed opportunities and resources. The government, he said, would fulfill its responsibility to convert their abilities into economic opportunities and help them lead dignified and independent lives.
