Pakistan Army Claims 36 Terrorists Killed in Operations Across Mastung, Quetta, Kalat and Sibi
QUETTA: Security forces have killed 36 terrorists in a series of operations conducted over the past 24 hours in Mastung, Quetta, Kalat and Sibi, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the military’s media wing, six Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed during an operation in Mastung. Ammunition stockpiles and improvised explosive devices recovered from the militants were destroyed at the site.
In another intelligence-based operation in the Shaban area of Quetta district, security forces targeted four hideouts belonging to militants identified by the ISPR as members of Fitna al-Khawarij. Twenty-six militants were reportedly killed during the operation.
In Kalat, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation against a militant hideout and killed two Indian-sponsored terrorists, according to the ISPR.
Security forces also carried out a retaliatory operation in the Bagh area of Sibi district, killing two more Indian-sponsored terrorists, the military said.
The ISPR stated that 48 terrorists associated with Indian proxies, Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij had been killed across Balochistan during the preceding 48 to 72 hours.
It further claimed that more than 1,188 terrorists had been killed in counterterrorism operations in Balochistan during 2026.
The ISPR said security forces and law-enforcement agencies would continue counterterrorism operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision until the elimination of the last terrorist.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for what he described as successful operations against militants in Balochistan.
Naqvi said the killing of 36 terrorists in operations in Mastung, Quetta, Kalat and Sibi was a major achievement for the security forces. He reiterated that operations would continue until terrorism was completely eliminated from the country.
