NEPRA Orders K-Electric to Stop Unannounced Load Shedding

ISLAMABAD:The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has directed K-Electric to stop unannounced load shedding.

NEPRA has sent the order to K-Electric CEO for implementation and sought a comprehensive compliance report from the power utility within one month.

In its order, NEPRA stated that electricity supply to paying consumers on any feeder cannot be disconnected due to power theft or non-payment by other consumers.
