Pakistani Diplomatic Delegation Led by Bilawal Bhutto Arrives in London for Key Meetings

London:A high-profile Pakistani diplomatic delegation, led by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has arrived in London to initiate a series of important meetings and engagements. The delegation will begin its visit with a crucial meeting with the British Minister of State for Asia and the Middle East, Hamish Falconer, to discuss Pakistan’s stance on various regional and international issues.

During the trip, Bilawal Bhutto will address events at prominent think tanks, including the Royal Institute of International Affairs and the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS). He is also scheduled to hold discussions with senior British Parliament leaders. These engagements are aimed at highlighting Pakistan’s position, particularly in the context of rising tensions with India.

In addition to his diplomatic meetings, Bilawal will engage with various think tanks, students, and media representatives, where he will emphasize Pakistan’s perspective on the current Pak-India tensions. This will provide a platform to further explain Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and the necessity of dialogue with India.

Prior to his departure for London, Bilawal addressed a press conference in Washington, where he discussed his recent meetings with American lawmakers and think tanks. He reiterated Pakistan’s unified stance—both civilian and military leadership—against terrorism and emphasized the importance of negotiations with India for regional stability.

Bilawal also criticized India’s reluctance to engage in dialogue, stating that it is India that continues to retreat from every opportunity for talks and investigations. He offered to engage with India through either civilian or military leadership, asserting that Pakistan is prepared for negotiations, even if India is unwilling to engage with Pakistan’s civilian leadership.

This visit is seen as an important step in Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to garner international support and clarify its position on the current geopolitical situation.
