Former CM Abdul Quddus Bizenjo Meets PPP Leaders to Discuss Political and Security Situation
QUETTA: Former Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo held a detailed meeting with senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders to discuss the political, regional and law-and-order situation in Balochistan and the country.
Those who met Bizenjo included senior PPP leader and former provincial minister Mir Abdul Rauf Rind, PPP Makran Division President Dr Barkat Baloch, prominent Kech political and social figure Mir Yasir Bahram Rind, and Shahdad Wahab Baloch.
The participants exchanged views on the prevailing political situation in the country, administrative matters, security challenges and other issues of mutual interest. They also reviewed ongoing political activities in Balochistan and the problems faced by people in different parts of the province.
The participants agreed that effective communication, consultation and joint efforts among political leaders were essential for resolving the problems faced by the people of Balochistan.
Speaking during the meeting, Bizenjo said the people of the province needed peace, stability, development and access to basic facilities. He stressed that all stakeholders would have to play their role in the political, economic and social development of Balochistan.
He said practical measures were needed to address public issues on a priority basis.
The situation in different parts of Balochistan, particularly the Makran Division and other districts, was also discussed. Participants shared their views on regional issues, public difficulties, development needs and the law-and-order situation.
PPP leaders briefed the meeting about the current political environment in the province and the party’s activities. The participants emphasised the need to strengthen political contacts, increase engagement with the public and effectively highlight the issues facing the people of Balochistan.
Focus on Peace and Development
The law-and-order situation remained a key topic during the meeting. Participants said joint political, administrative and social efforts were essential for establishing lasting peace in Balochistan.
They stressed that providing citizens with a peaceful environment was a shared responsibility of state institutions and political leadership.
The meeting also discussed development projects, youth issues, employment opportunities, education, healthcare and other basic facilities.
The participants agreed that development initiatives should directly benefit ordinary citizens, particularly people living in remote areas who continue to face shortages of basic services.
Former provincial assembly member Sana Baloch and other personalities were also present at the meeting.
The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, with participants agreeing to maintain consultation and communication on national, provincial and regional affairs.
At the conclusion, the participants expressed their best wishes for peace and stability in Balochistan, the province’s development and the prosperity of its people.
