Trump Says Iran Wants Deal but Is Not Ready for the Right Agreement

US President Donald Trump has said that Iran wants to reach an agreement with the United States despite ongoing differences, but Tehran is not yet ready for what he described as the right deal.

Speaking to reporters before departing Joint Base Andrews for Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Trump claimed that Iran has no money, navy or air force and is struggling to pay the salaries of its soldiers and police officers.

Trump also claimed that inflation in Iran has reached as high as 350 percent, adding that it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Referring to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, the US president said Washington has complete control over the entire region, including the Strait of Hormuz and the surrounding land areas.
