Iranian President Says Time to End War with US Has Come

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that the time has come to end the ongoing war with the United States with full strength and dignity.
According to international media reports, Pezeshkian made the remarks during a meeting with a group of doctors.
The Iranian president said the current moment was appropriate for ending the conflict with the United States, claiming that Iran is now in a position of full strength and honor.
Pezeshkian also claimed that the world is recognizing Iran’s victory and that pressure is mounting on the United States over attacks on schools, hospitals and infrastructure in Iran.
Defending a memorandum of understanding reached with the United States in June, the Iranian president said the agreement did not require Iran to make any concessions or surrender.
The memorandum was intended to serve as the basis for a broader agreement within 60 days. However, the process failed to move forward after Iran and the United States accused each other of violating the agreement.
The understanding effectively expired on August 17.
