Government Petition Against Imran Khan’s Hospital Transfer Decision Returned With Objections

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has returned the government’s review petition challenging its decision to transfer Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan to a hospital, after the Registrar’s Office raised objections.
According to sources, the Supreme Court Registrar’s Office raised objections to the government’s review petition on Wednesday.
Sources said the objection was related to incomplete paper books submitted along with the review petition.
The petition will be filed again after the objections raised by the Registrar’s Office are addressed, sources added.
The Supreme Court had ordered two days earlier that Imran Khan be transferred to Shifa International Hospital. However, the former prime minister has not yet been shifted to the hospital.
Following the court’s order, Islamabad Chief Commissioner, through the Advocate General of Islamabad, filed a review petition challenging the decision regarding Imran Khan’s transfer to the hospital.
