UAE Suspends Trade and Financial Transactions With Iran Amid Rising Regional Tensions

DUBAI:The United Arab Emirates has announced the suspension of all commercial activities, business exchanges and financial transactions with Iran until further notice, citing escalating tensions in the region.
According to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the decision was taken in view of the deteriorating regional situation, which it said was increasingly posing a threat to regional and global peace and security.
Meanwhile, Iran has rejected the UAE’s allegation that missiles were launched from Iranian territory toward the Gulf state.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei dismissed the Emirati statement, describing the accusations against Iran as baseless.
The latest escalation comes as the wider region is already facing heightened military tensions and serious security concerns.
The suspension of trade and financial activities is expected to put further pressure on economic relations between the UAE and Iran and could disrupt commercial ties between the two countries.
