Major Good News for Government Employees as PESCO Begins Promotion Process

Peshawar: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has taken an important step regarding employee promotions by formally initiating the process to promote eligible Commercial Assistants serving in BPS-15 to BPS-16.

According to a notification issued by PESCO, eligible employees working as Commercial Assistants in BPS-15 will be considered for promotion to the position of Commercial Superintendent, a BPS-16 post.

The promotion process will be completed in accordance with the relevant rules and regulations and on the basis of employees’ available service records.

Five Years of ACRs Mandatory

The notification specifies an important condition for promotion. Eligible employees will be required to submit their complete Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) for the years 2021 to 2025.

The reports will be used to assess employees’ performance and service records over the previous five years.

Officials Directed to Submit Records

PESCO management has instructed the concerned officers to provide all required documents, details and service records within the stipulated period so that the promotion process can be completed without unnecessary delays.

The relevant authorities have been directed to compile and submit the required records within 10 days.

Eligible Employees to Benefit

The initiative will benefit Commercial Assistants who meet the prescribed criteria and are found eligible for promotion. Following promotion to BPS-16, employees will assume higher positions and additional responsibilities.

According to the administration, providing employees with timely opportunities for career advancement will boost their morale and encourage them to perform their duties more effectively.

PESCO said the promotion process would also contribute to improving professional performance, transparency and administrative efficiency within the organization.
