Ziarat Martyrs’ Chehlum: Resolutions Demand Transparent Judicial Probe and Full Implementation of Agreement

ZIARAT: A condolence gathering organized by the Ziarat Sit-in Committee and All Parties Ziarat on the occasion of the Chehlum of the Ziarat martyrs adopted several resolutions, calling for a transparent judicial investigation into the Ziarat tragedy and full implementation of the agreement reached with the families of the deceased.
Addressing the gathering, Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Secretary-General Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal paid rich tribute to all those who lost their lives in the Mangi Dam Pumping Station Phase-III incident and saluted their sacrifices.
The unanimously adopted resolutions demanded that the judicial commission formed to investigate the Ziarat tragedy be kept completely impartial and that its report be made public within the stipulated period. The participants also demanded strict and complete implementation of the agreement reached with the families of the martyrs.
The resolutions called for the immediate restoration of the Levies Force, along with modern training, advanced weapons and necessary vehicles. They also demanded that Ziarat, Zezri, Piri, Khalifat, Kuch, Ahmadun, Zarghun Ghar, Harnai and adjoining areas be cleared of armed militants without delay.
Participants demanded the withdrawal of the Frontier Corps from Ziarat and other areas. They also called for an impartial inquiry into alleged illegal occupations and construction in Khundi Sir, Prospect Point, Koti Sir and other areas, as well as the reported cutting of hundreds of valuable and historic juniper trees during such activities.
The resolutions further called for the immediate suspension of the Deputy Commissioner and DSP over alleged negligence and shortcomings in connection with the Ziarat tragedy.
The gathering also demanded that all police stations and checkpoints in Ziarat district be equipped with modern facilities and adequate resources, while uninterrupted gas and electricity supplies be ensured across the district.
The participants called for the immediate completion of the road project from Khanozai Cross to Sanjavi and demanded that police personnel be posted in their respective local areas.
The gathering reiterated its commitment to pursuing the demands of the martyrs’ families through peaceful and democratic means.
