Putin Urges End to Iran War During Phone Call with Trump

Washington: Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump held a telephone conversation on Monday, during which the Russian president reportedly advised ending the ongoing conflict involving Iran.
According to Russia’s state news agency TASS, the two leaders discussed several major global issues, including rising tensions surrounding Iran and ongoing peace efforts related to the .
Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov told journalists that the call was initiated by Trump and lasted about an hour. He described the conversation as “businesslike, frank and constructive.”
Ushakov said the discussion mainly focused on the current situation involving Iran and trilateral negotiations aimed at achieving peace in Ukraine, which include participation from U.S. representatives.
During the call, Trump reportedly reiterated his interest in an immediate ceasefire and a lasting solution to the conflict in Ukraine. The conversation was part of ongoing diplomatic contacts between the two countries addressing global issues, including the situation in the Middle East and efforts to resolve the Russia-Ukraine war.
