Sunny Deol Recalls Receiving ‘A Lot of Love’ During Kartarpur Visit to Pakistan

MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Sunny Deol has recalled his visit to the Kartarpur Corridor, saying he received a great deal of love and affection during his time in Pakistan.

Sunny Deol is currently busy promoting his film *Batwara (1947)*, which was released in India and several other countries recently.

During a recent interview to promote the film, the actor was asked whether he had ever visited Pakistan. He said he had never formally travelled to Pakistan but had the opportunity to visit Kartarpur when the corridor was opened.

Deol explained that Kartarpur was part of his electoral constituency, which led to him being included in a delegation visiting the site.

“I received a lot of love in Pakistan,” the actor said, adding that members of the Pakistani military also expressed affection toward him.

According to Deol, some soldiers told him not to make films that were anti-Pakistan because they loved him. He said he responded by explaining that he was only playing a character.

Deol further said that everyone loves their country and stressed that wrongdoers should be dealt with, but innocent civilians should never be targeted.
