Funeral Prayers Held for Two Youths Killed in Armed Attack in Ziarat

SANJAWI: Funeral prayers were offered for two young men from Sanjawi, Ehsanullah and Muhammad Younis, who were killed in firing by armed men in the Ziarat area of Balochistan.

Thousands of people, including local residents, tribal elders and members of different sections of society, attended the funeral prayers. The two victims were later laid to rest at their ancestral cemetery amid tears and grief.

According to sources, Ehsanullah and Muhammad Younis were traveling by motorcycle from Sanjawi towards Quetta on the previous night when armed men allegedly established a roadblock in the mountainous area of Ziarat.

The armed men reportedly opened fire on the motorcyclists, killing both youths on the spot. Two other young men were also injured in the incident and were shifted for medical treatment.

The incident triggered fear and panic in the area. Following the attack, the relevant authorities launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident and the identities of those involved.

Local residents expressed deep concern and grief over the killings and called for enhanced security on highways and in mountainous areas to protect travelers.

They also demanded effective action against elements involved in targeting innocent civilians and urged authorities to ensure the safety of people traveling on major roads across the region.
