Bomb Blast Near Central Chowk in Turbat Market Injures Five Passersby
TURBAT: A bomb explosion near the central chowk in Turbat market injured five passersby and damaged several shops, according to initial reports.
The blast occurred when a remote-controlled explosive device planted on a motorcycle parked outside a shop detonated. Sources said an FC vehicle was passing through the area at the time of the explosion.
Four shops were badly damaged in the blast, while eight nearby shops sustained partial damage.
The five injured people were immediately shifted to hospital for medical treatment.
Following the incident, police and other law-enforcement personnel reached the site, cordoned off the area and began collecting evidence.
Keçh Superintendent of Police Zohaib Mohsin Baloch visited the scene and reviewed the situation. Officials of the Turbat Traders Association also inspected the affected shops and assessed the damage.
Later, DIG Police Imran Qureshi visited the site and met with traders and shopkeepers.
The DIG said the nature of the incident and the extent of the damage were being examined in detail, while investigations were underway from multiple angles.
