IG Balochistan Urges Supervisory Officers to Ensure High Performance, Emphasizes Smart and Community Policing

Quetta: Inspector General of Police Balochistan Mohammad Tahir emphasized that supervising officers are responsible for ensuring better performance from subordinate staff. Speaking at a ceremony at the Central Police Office, he highlighted that departmental promotions and rank advancements reflect increased responsibilities and are an integral part of a police officer’s career.
The ceremony marked the badge presentation for two officers, Naveed Alam and Sher Ali, who were promoted to SSP rank. IGP Tahir, along with Additional IGP Agha Muhammad Yousuf, presented the badges.
IG Tahir stressed the importance of smart and community policing, urging officers to utilize all available resources for crime prevention and to provide citizens with timely assistance. He called for strengthening the positive image of the police while enhancing public trust and security.
The promoted officers congratulated on their advancement reaffirmed their commitment to serving and protecting citizens. The ceremony was attended by senior police officials, including Additional IGP & Commandant BC Ashfaq Ahmed, Additional IGP Javed Ali Mehr, DIG Headquarters Hassan Asad Alvi, DIG Quetta Imran Shaukat, and other high-ranking officers from FIA and district administration.
