Nawaz Sharif Calls Key Meeting to Discuss Government Formation in Azad Kashmir

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has called an important party meeting in Murree on Saturday, August 15, to discuss government formation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

According to sources, consultations with party leaders regarding the formation of the AJK government will be held during the meeting.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shehbaz, federal ministers and senior PML-N leaders are expected to attend the Murree meeting, sources said.

All nine newly elected PML-N members of the AJK Legislative Assembly have also been invited to the meeting, according to sources.

The meeting is expected to focus on the party’s strategy for government formation and consultations over key political matters in Azad Kashmir.
