Punjab Government Forms Steering Committee to Boost Pak-Saudi Economic Cooperation

**Lahore (Qudrat Daily)** – The **Punjab government** has taken a significant step to enhance **Pak-Saudi economic cooperation** by forming a **provincial steering committee**. The committee aims to ensure effective coordination on investment frameworks with **Saudi Arabia**.
The **provincial steering committee** will coordinate with **federal ministries** and the **Saudi Investment Forum Council (SIFC)** to align provincial priorities with national investment strategies. **Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb** has been appointed as the committee’s convener. Other members include **Dr. Naeem Rauf, Chairman P&D**, the **Additional Chief Secretary (WARS)**, and a **senior member of the Board of Revenue**. The **Secretary of Industries** will serve as both committee secretary and member.
The committee will prepare **provincial sectoral inputs** and identify **priority projects** for investment. “Ready proposals” and a **project pipeline** will be developed to attract investors. It will also finalize **provincial priorities for investment sessions with Saudi Arabia** and promote **B2B interactions** and **investor readiness**.
Additionally, the committee will advise the Punjab government on decisions and take measures to capitalize on **“early harvest opportunities”** in collaboration with Saudi partners. This initiative marks a key effort to strengthen economic ties between **Punjab and Saudi Arabia**.
