Balochistan’s Opposition Supports Government, Says Mir Asghar Rind; Over 4,000 Youth Receiving Technical Training

TURBAT: Parliamentary Secretary for Energy Mir Asghar Rind has said that Balochistan is the only assembly in the country where the opposition also supports the government, adding that development benefits will be delivered to ordinary citizens.

Addressing a public open court held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Kalatak, Rind said members of the opposition receive the same privileges as government members.

He said the Pakistan Peoples Party’s vision is centered on public service and resolving people’s problems. He added that the government was utilizing all available development resources to address issues in constituencies.

Rind said the government was taking practical measures to resolve public problems and had completed several projects in Kalatak, including the provision of home solar systems and construction of link roads. He said other issues faced by the people of the area would also be addressed in phases.

He added that development projects had been carried out in various sectors during the government’s two-and-a-half-year tenure, with efforts focused on ensuring that the benefits of development reached ordinary people. Providing basic facilities to remote areas and addressing public hardships, he said, remained among the government’s priorities.

Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi said the government was giving special attention to education and healthcare.

He said steps were being taken to make the education sector more effective and provide young people with better opportunities for quality education and technical training.

Buledi said more than 4,000 young people were being provided technical education and vocational training with the support of the World Bank. After completing their training, the youth would be posted in their native areas so they could serve their communities and also help provide education and technical training to other young people.

He said education and healthcare were the foundations of development in any society, adding that the government would continue efforts to improve facilities in both sectors. Providing basic services to people in remote areas and equipping young people with skills, he added, were key government priorities.

A large number of Pakistan Peoples Party workers and supporters attended the event. Participants also pledged to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day on August 14 with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.

Good wishes were expressed for Pakistan’s progress, prosperity and security, as well as peace and stability in Balochistan.
