Immediate Probe Demanded into Alleged Jet Bombing in Sorab: Kamran Murtaza

QUETTA: Central President of Jamiat Lawyers Forum Pakistan, Senator Kamran Murtaza, has expressed serious concern and grief over reports that more than eight people were killed in an alleged jet bombing in the Gadar area of Sorab.
Senator Kamran Murtaza said that if civilian areas were indeed bombed by fighter jets, it would be an extremely serious matter. He urged the government to take immediate notice of the incident, investigate the circumstances and present the facts before the public.
He said protecting the lives and property of citizens was the fundamental responsibility of the state. Effective precautionary measures should be adopted during security operations to ensure that civilian populations were not harmed.
The senator demanded a transparent and impartial investigation into the Gadar incident. He also called for accurate information regarding those killed and injured to be provided and for immediate assistance to be extended to the affected families.
Kamran Murtaza stressed that the loss of innocent civilian lives was unacceptable under any circumstances. He urged the government to take immediate and effective measures to prevent such incidents in the future and ensure the safety and security of the local population.
