Olympic Champion Arshad Nadeem Opts for Training in South Africa

LAHORE:Pakistan’s Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem has decided to undergo training abroad in preparation for upcoming international competitions.

According to sources, the javelin thrower will not compete in the Lausanne Diamond League scheduled for August 21, despite his name having been included in the event’s entry list.

Sources said Arshad Nadeem will instead travel to South Africa for a training camp. He has previously trained in South Africa on two occasions.

Arshad is expected to leave for Africa on the first available flight once he receives his visa. Following his training camp, he will compete in the World Athletics Ultimate Championship.

The World Athletics Ultimate Championship is scheduled to take place in Budapest from September 6 to 14.

After the championship, Arshad Nadeem is expected to participate in the Asian Games.:::
