Youth Are Pakistan’s Most Valuable Human Capital: President Zardari

ISLAMABAD:President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the energy, creativity and determination of Pakistan’s youth are among the country’s most valuable assets, stressing that empowering young people is an investment in Pakistan’s future.
In his message on International Youth Day, the president paid tribute to Pakistani youth and said access to quality education, dignified employment and opportunities for innovation were among their shared aspirations.
Zardari said nearly 67 percent of Pakistan’s population is under the age of 30, making young people the country’s largest human capital.
He emphasized that empowering youth to play an active role in national development was an urgent need. A strong, inclusive and prosperous Pakistan, he said, could be built through the meaningful participation of young people.
The president highlighted the importance of the potential and leadership of young women for Pakistan’s social and economic development.
He said the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme was providing young people with opportunities in education, skills development, employment and entrepreneurship.
Zardari urged young people to embrace the values of integrity, compassion and tolerance and play a constructive role in the country’s progress.
He reiterated that investing in youth and creating opportunities for their development was essential for building a stronger and more prosperous Pakistan.:::
