Khuzdar Orders Markets, Shops and Commercial Centres to Close From 8pm to 10am Amid Security Concerns

KHUZDAR: Authorities in Khuzdar have ordered all markets, shops and commercial centres to remain closed from 8pm to 10am daily until further orders due to security concerns.
According to an official notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar on August 8, 2026, the precautionary measure was taken in light of security advisories issued by law enforcement agencies.
The notification states that all markets, shops, hotels and other commercial establishments will remain closed from 8pm to 10am every day until further orders.
Pharmacies, medical stores, private hospitals and medical centres have been exempted from the restrictions because of the essential and emergency nature of their services.
The district administration said the measure was temporary and purely precautionary, aimed at protecting the lives and property of the public, traders and the business community.
Assistant commissioners, magistrates, police and Levies authorities have been directed to ensure strict implementation of the order within their respective jurisdictions.
The district administration has also appealed to residents and the business community to cooperate with the temporary security measures.
