New Digital System Planned for Private Hajj, Bookings to Be Made Through Ministry of Religious Affairs

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has decided to introduce a new digital system for the private Hajj scheme during the Hajj 2027 operation, in line with Saudi Arabia’s Nusuk Masar system.

Under the new arrangement, Hajj bookings for the private scheme will be processed through the Ministry of Religious Affairs instead of directly through private Hajj operators.

For the first time, the private Hajj operation will also be conducted under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, alongside the government Hajj scheme.

According to sources, the private Hajj scheme will be operated through the ministry’s official Pak Hajj mobile application.

The new digital mechanism is aimed at bringing greater transparency and centralised oversight to private Hajj bookings and operations.

The ministry is expected to issue further details regarding the booking process, eligibility requirements, payments and other arrangements as preparations for Hajj 2027 progress.
