Balochistan Assembly Reaffirms Support for Kashmir, Condemns Terrorism and Pays Tribute to Security Forces

Quetta: Members of the Balochistan Assembly, provincial ministers, and the Deputy Speaker strongly condemned what they described as human rights violations in Indian-administered Kashmir and reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri people during remarks delivered in the provincial assembly.

The speakers expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir and criticized India’s policies in the region. They also condemned recent terrorist incidents in Balochistan and paid tribute to the personnel of the Pakistan Army, Balochistan Police, and other security forces who lost their lives in the line of duty.

One provincial minister said the people of Kashmir share religious, cultural, and political ties with Pakistan, adding that Pakistan has always stood by the Kashmiri people and will continue to do so. The minister also condemned terrorism in Balochistan and praised the sacrifices made by security personnel in combating militancy.

Another minister expressed concern over the situation in Indian-administered Kashmir, alleging that women, children, and the elderly were facing violence, and said Pakistan would continue to raise the issue at international forums.

Deputy Speaker Ghazala Gola called on the international community to take notice of the situation in Kashmir, stating that the rights of the Kashmiri people should be protected and that their concerns deserve global attention.

Provincial Health Minister also criticized India’s policies in Kashmir, alleging attempts to undermine the region’s identity. He further praised the residents of Hanna Urak and Ziarat for what he described as their courageous response against terrorists during recent security incidents in Balochistan.

The statements were made during the Balochistan Assembly session, where lawmakers reiterated support for the Kashmiri people and emphasized the need to strengthen peace and security within the province.
