Police Martyrs Are a National Asset and the Pride of Pakistan, Says Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has paid tribute to police martyrs on Police Martyrs’ Day, describing them as a priceless national asset and a symbol of honor for Pakistan, whose sacrifices for peace, the rule of law, and the protection of citizens will always be remembered.

In a special message issued on the occasion, the chief minister said police officers and personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty had demonstrated extraordinary courage, dedication, and patriotism. He added that their sacrifices form a glorious chapter in the nation’s history.

Bugti said the Balochistan Police have remained on the front lines in the fight against terrorism, extremism, and crime for many years. He praised the force for making exceptional sacrifices to strengthen the writ of the state, maintain peace, and safeguard the lives and property of the public.

Paying special tribute to the police personnel martyred in Ziarat, the chief minister said their bravery and steadfastness in confronting terrorists would serve as a lasting example of courage and devotion to the nation. He added that the Government of Balochistan salutes the patience and sacrifices of the martyrs’ families.

The chief minister said the provincial government considers the welfare, dignity, and financial support of the families of fallen police personnel a state responsibility. He stated that measures are being taken to ensure their care, including support for education, healthcare, and other essential needs.

Bugti also said the government is investing in enhancing the capacity of the police force through modern training, advanced weapons, protective equipment, technology, and improved infrastructure to enable it to effectively respond to evolving security challenges.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to combating terrorism and extremism, he said there would be no compromise on maintaining peace, upholding the rule of law, and protecting the lives and property of citizens. He added that the sacrifices of police martyrs would not go in vain and that the government, law enforcement agencies, and the public would continue working together to defeat those who threaten peace and stability.
