PM Shehbaz Sharif Says AJK Election Victory Reflects Public Confidence in PML-N Policies

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif and the party’s successful candidates following the party’s victory in the second phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections.

In his congratulatory message, the Prime Minister said the election victory was the result of the hard work and dedication of Nawaz Sharif and the entire PML-N team.

Shehbaz Sharif stated that under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership, the party ran a successful election campaign in Azad Kashmir and that the outcome reflected the confidence of the people in the PML-N’s policies.

The Prime Minister added that the development, prosperity, and welfare of the people of Azad Kashmir remain the party’s top priorities. He also noted that the participation of various political parties in the second phase of the elections would further strengthen the democratic process.

According to the complete unofficial and non-final results from 19 of the 20 constituencies contested in the second phase of the 2026 AJK general elections, the PML-N won 14 seats, while the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) secured five seats.
