Shaheen Shah Afridi Returns Home After Withdrawing from Lanka Premier League

Karachi: Pakistan’s star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has returned home after withdrawing from the Lanka Premier League (LPL) due to personal reasons.

During the tournament, Afridi was also involved in a disagreement with his franchise, Kandy Royals, after he was not included in the playing XI for the team’s July 19 match.

Ahead of the match against Colombo Capitals, Afridi was informed that he would feature as an impact player. However, his name was missing from the official team sheet, prompting the pacer to express his dissatisfaction.

Following an apology from the Kandy Royals management, Afridi rejoined the team and participated in the subsequent matches.

Shaheen Shah Afridi finished his LPL campaign with seven wickets in six matches before returning to Pakistan for personal reasons.
