Mild Earthquake Tremors Felt in Karachi, No Damage Reported

Karachi: Mild earthquake tremors were felt in several parts of Karachi, prompting residents to leave their homes and offices as a precaution. No casualties or property damage were reported in the immediate aftermath.
According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake measured 2.9 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers. Experts said the relatively low magnitude limited the tremors to parts of the city.
The tremors were reported in Shah Latif Town, Bhains Colony, Gadap Town, Landhi, and several surrounding areas. Residents rushed to open spaces after feeling the ground shake.
Rescue officials and the district administration assessed the situation soon after the tremor. Initial reports confirmed that no buildings were damaged and no injuries or fatalities had been reported.
Experts advised citizens to remain calm during earthquakes, move to safe locations, and follow the instructions issued by emergency response authorities in the event of any emergency.
