Sindh Approves Transfer of 2,059 Teachers Under E-Transfer System

KARACHI: The Sindh School Education Department has approved the transfer of 2,059 teachers under the first phase of its e-transfer system, according to an official notification issued in Karachi.

The notification stated that the first phase includes 1,625 transfers under the general category and 434 mutual transfers.

Among the approved transfers, 1,163 male teachers and 896 female teachers have been reassigned to new postings.

The department said 644 transfers were approved based on the teacher-to-student ratio, while 544 teachers were transferred on the basis of marital status.

Additionally, 173 transfers were approved on medical grounds, 100 due to tribal conflict-related reasons, and 31 on the basis of physical disability.

The notification further stated that 434 applications under the mutual transfer category were approved.

According to the School Education Department, the e-transfer initiative has also helped make 41 previously inactive schools operational by ensuring the availability of teachers.
