China Offers Support to Help Pakistan Reduce Poverty, Pledges Expanded Cooperation

Faisalabad: China has offered to strengthen cooperation with Pakistan in poverty alleviation, agriculture, education, technology transfer, and vocational training, reaffirming its commitment to supporting Pakistan’s socio-economic development.

Speaking at a ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong said China is ready to work closely with Pakistan in key development sectors and share its successful experience in poverty reduction.

The ambassador said the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China continues to grow stronger with time, noting that both countries have stood by each other during difficult as well as prosperous periods. He expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation would continue to reach new heights.

Jiang said Pakistan could benefit from China’s successful poverty alleviation model, adding that the development of the agricultural sector would strengthen the rural economy, create new employment opportunities, and help reduce poverty significantly.

He further stated that China is keen to expand collaboration with Pakistan in education, technology transfer, skills development, vocational training, and human resource development to provide better opportunities for young people.

The Chinese ambassador emphasized that China’s leadership wishes to see Pakistan become a strong, prosperous, and developed nation, saying Pakistan’s progress is in the shared interest of both countries.

He added that China’s development has been driven by strong leadership, long-term policies, and a strategy focused on public welfare, suggesting that Pakistan could also benefit from these experiences.
