Priority Passport Renewal Facility Announced for Hajj 2027 Pilgrims
ISLAMABAD: In a significant facilitation measure for prospective pilgrims, authorities have announced priority passport renewal and issuance services for individuals intending to perform Hajj in 2027.
At the request of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has issued instructions to regional passport offices across the country to ensure the expedited processing of passport applications submitted by Hajj 2027 aspirants.
Under the new directives, applicants whose passports are set to expire before November 16, 2027, will be provided with immediate renewal facilities to enable them to complete Hajj registration and subsequent procedures on time. The initiative aims to ensure that no citizen misses the opportunity to participate in Hajj 2027 due to delays in obtaining or renewing a passport.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has already clarified that registration for Hajj 2027 is mandatory and that a valid Pakistani passport will be required at the stage of submitting the final Hajj application. The ministry has advised all intending pilgrims to renew their travel documents well in advance to avoid any inconvenience during the process.
Additionally, the Passport Office has directed its field offices, both within Pakistan and abroad, to give special attention to applications submitted by prospective Hajj pilgrims and to provide them with priority services. The measure is intended to facilitate the smooth completion of Hajj 2027 registration and other administrative requirements without interruption.
