Hina Parvez Butt Criticizes Social Media Influencers Over ‘Irresponsible’ Content

Lahore: Hina Parvez Butt has strongly criticized Pakistani social media influencers Rajab Butt, Ali Hyderabadi, and Sami Rashid, accusing them of producing irresponsible and controversial content in pursuit of online views and popularity.

In a statement, Butt said a worrying trend has emerged in Pakistan where some TikTokers and YouTubers are crossing ethical boundaries to gain social media engagement, even turning sensitive personal matters such as divorce into online content.

Sharing photos of the three influencers, the chairperson of the Punjab Women Protection Authority expressed concern over their influence on young audiences.

“It is unfortunate that our younger generation is following such individuals,” she said, adding that children who consider these personalities their role models risk harming their moral upbringing and ethical values.

Butt urged parents to take the issue seriously and pay closer attention to the type of content their children consume on social media, stressing the importance of promoting positive role models and responsible online behavior.
