National Party Rejects Claims of Supporting Military Operation in Balochistan

QUETTA: The National Party has strongly rejected reports suggesting that it supports the use of force or military operations in Balochistan, terming such claims baseless propaganda.

In an official statement, the party’s central spokesperson said that certain media outlets and social media platforms were attempting to create a misleading impression regarding the National Party leadership’s recent political meetings in Islamabad.

The spokesperson categorically denied the perception that the party supports any military operation or the use of force in the province. He said the National Party leadership had clearly conveyed its position during meetings with the leadership of the ruling party in Islamabad, emphasizing its opposition to any form of force in Balochistan.

“The issue of Balochistan is fundamentally political in nature, and its resolution lies solely in political dialogue, democratic processes, institutional reforms, and constructive measures aimed at restoring public trust and ensuring lasting peace and stability in the province,” the statement said.

The spokesperson reiterated that sustainable peace in Balochistan can only be achieved through inclusive political engagement and democratic means rather than coercive measures.

The National Party also urged media organizations and journalists to refrain from disseminating unverified reports or negative propaganda. It appealed to the media to uphold the principles of responsible journalism by verifying facts before publishing or broadcasting news related to the party’s position.
