Hot and Humid Weather to Persist in Karachi, Light Rain and Drizzle Expected Today
KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and humid weather in Karachi today, with chances of light rain and drizzle over the next 24 hours.
According to the Met Office, the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy throughout the day, while intermittent drizzle or light rainfall may occur in different parts of the city.
Meteorologists said the maximum temperature is likely to remain between 33°C and 35°C. For comparison, the city’s maximum temperature recorded on the previous day was 33.6°C. The minimum temperature recorded this morning was 28.5°C.
The PMD further stated that sea breezes are expected to blow at speeds ranging from 10 to 30 kilometers per hour during the next 24 hours, providing some relief despite the prevailing humidity.
Humidity levels were recorded at 78 percent this morning and are expected to remain between 55 and 80 percent over the next 24 hours.
Residents have been advised to stay hydrated and remain prepared for brief spells of drizzle or light rain as Karachi continues to experience typical monsoon-season weather conditions.
